CM Pramod Sawant: Smart labour card to benefit employee and employer

The card will be beneficial to both the employee and employer, the chief minister said while appealing to workers to apply for the card as soon as possible

The chief minister of launched the smart labour card for those working in the unorganised, private and industrial sectors to enable a record of employment.

At the launch, Sawant said that his government is labour oriented and had always provided the labour force with benefits.

The card will be beneficial to both the employee and employer, the chief minister said while appealing to workers to apply for the card as soon as possible. He said that once they avail of it, they won’t have to do any paperwork to get the benefits of any of the labour ‘s schemes.

Sawant said that even workers can continue to get uninterrupted benefits of the scheme even if they change jobs.

Accordingly, labour welfare schemes were not getting a good response, but with the introduction of this card, their implementation will become easier, he said.

Sawant said the labour force can avail of medical and education schemes, besides those for construction of houses, marriage, etc. “More labourers will benefit through the ,” he said.
