“During this special personal moment, I would like to urge all my well-wishers to spare a positive thought/action in support of all those in (or those who have loved ones in India), who are braving the heartbreaking situation brought upon by the pandemic. There’s loss and suffering for sure, but there are also numerous everyday heroes, going out of their way to support others, many of whom they have never met before,” Palekanda said.

Palekanda, a software engineer, started his career with Infosys in 2003 and served in the role for two years. He later took the role of Associate Manager, Global Campus Recruitment and Relations. After Infosys, Palekanda joined Google and completed his longest stint of more than 10 years serving the company in various roles, including Lead – HR Business Partner.
