Forcepoint launches converged security platform for enterprise, govt CISOs

Cyhersecurity firm Forcepoint has launched a new converged security platform which it says will help both and government organisations in mitigating security challenges while migrating , application and their business operation to the cloud.

The American firm is projecting this solution to CISOs community as platform that can offer consolidated, cloud-based security solutions in a deployment agnostic delivery model, which many of the CISOs are looking for these days.

The company said that the first solution that will offered via this platform would be ‘Forcepoint Dynamic Edge Protection’. This will help enterprises to transform their network and security architectures with connectivity to take full advantage of the cloud across distributed application and network environments, said the company. The solution will offer converged capabilities for SD-WAN connectivity, next-generation firewall-as-a-service with security for Web and Cloud – all as a cloud-first, hybrid-ready service using Forcepoint’s enterprise grade technologies.

In addition, the company also strategic investments in a new technology partner ecosystem that it says will deliver customers integrated solutions that extend Forcepoint’s risk-adaptive protection across existing security infrastructure, including cloud, identity, network, and endpoint. Inaugural technology alliances include AWS, IBM Security, , Citrix, Boldon , Ping Identity, Seclore and more.

“Behavior-based cybersecurity is tailor-made for the era of mobility and cloud because it enables enterprises to detect and respond faster to risk than legacy paradigms that focus only on protecting infrastructure,” said Matt Moynahan, CEO, Forcepoint in a written statement.

“Forcepoint’s human-centric approach to security enables our customers to protect their people and critical data against the most sophisticated attackers, while freeing them to conduct their business or mission in the most efficient and agile way possible,” Moynahan said.

“Customers continue to embrace vendors that offer a platform approach to manageability and simplification across environments in addition to addressing the latest threats. Vendors that can address security in a dynamic, multi-cloud manner will ultimately be successful,” said Chris Kissel, director of research, Security Products.

The company is targeting highly distributed organizations such as retailers, financial institutions, hospitality providers, and government agencies with its Dynamic Edge Protection.
