Essar deploys Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform for server virtualization

Hyperconverged Infrastructure firm Nutanix said that it has deployed Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform at Essar, a company that operates a number of assets diversified across the core sectors of Energy, Metals & Mining, Infrastructure and Services. The aggregated revenues of the Fund’s portfolio companies total US$ 15 billion and the Essar group companies employ more than 50,000 people. With the deployment of Nutanix, Essar will be able to virtualize and manage their entire line of business applications and database solution hosted in DMZ landscape. As a , the company expects to simplify their IT infrastructure and minimize management cost by 93%, while allowing for an increase in user productivity by 94%.

Essar deploys Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform

By unifying the management of all their infrastructure with Nutanix Prism, Essar is already seeing better performance and availability through unique capabilities such as Auto Tiering and significant savings in rack space, power and cooling, since all applications are now converged in just 2U rack .

With Nutanix we can now control the entire system through one platform with one management pane of glass, which has dramatically simplified our infrastructure and improved efficiency. Our IT staff can now focus on services that power the business and contribute to productivity.”
