The collaboration will digitally revamp GE HealthCare’s global IT functions. A new operating model for managing its applications will be introduced. TCS will take on the management of the enterprise‘s IT applications, including their development, maintenance, streamlining, and standardization. TCS will also incorporate software engineering, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies, said a statement.
The transformation is designed to provide a platform for GE HealthCare’s growth and innovation, potentially reaching over one billion patients in more than 160 countries, the company said.
Jahid Khandaker, CIO, GE HealthCare said that the partnership with TCS supports their goal to address patient needs rapidly, back medical technology research, and promote investment in care solutions.

TCS’ Anupam Singhal, Business Head, Corporate Accounts, expressed the company’s intent to help GE HealthCare develop new healthcare products and services and to modernize their existing applications.
