The process for () will conclude on Tuesday, and the university expects to announce the merit list for its degree programmes by the end of this month, according to an official statement on Monday.

The Institute has begun accepting applications for 15 full-time Diploma programmes, including Fashion Design, Tool and Dye Making, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy, and Facility and Hygiene Management. The admissions process for the university's inaugural academic session will conclude on Tuesday.

According to Ashwani Kansal, Registrar of the DSEU, “Admission to the Diploma programmes will be based on merit, as determined by a Common Entrance Test scheduled for August 28.

Admission to the university's 11 flagship degree programmes will be based on a merit list.” He explained that the merit list will be compiled using three components: percentage in Class 12, extracurricular activities (ECA), and a minor weighting for those who took vocational topics in high school, as this is a skill university.

The Common Entrance Test will be administered in two languages and will be divided into sections. “In accordance with the standards, the institution has issued guidelines for the Common Entrance Test Policy for Persons with Disabilities (PwD),” Mr Kansal added.

Professor Neharika Vohra, Vice-Chancellor, DSEU, stated that the merit list for diploma programmes will be released in the first week of September this year, while the merit list for degree programmes will be released by the end of August.

“From September 4 to September 7, candidates will submit their preferences for Diploma and Degree programmes,” she added. Additionally, the university offers six B.Tech programmes in areas such as mechanical and automation engineering, computer science engineering, and tool engineering. “Admission to these six courses would be determined on the basis of merit in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE),” she explained.

Among the degree programmes provided, the university also offers a Masters of Computer Application (MCA), for which admission will be based on a merit list developed using NIMCET 2021 scores, and a Master of Technology in Tool Engineering, for which admission would be based on GATE scores, she noted. The DSEU extended the registration deadline for its programmes to August 17 due to the delay in the release of class 10 and 12 results last month.
