Dhaka — The Department of (DIT) holds a review meeting on the implementation of the Annual Development Program (ADP) for the financial year 20-21 May at the meeting platform today.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present at the meeting online.

The meeting, chaired by M Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology was attended online by the heads of various agencies under the department including Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Bangladesh Computer Council, Department of Information and Communication Technology, and various project managers.

The meeting discussed in detail the implementation plans of the projects are undertaken by the ICT department in the current financial year, achievement of real and financial targets on a monthly basis, decisions taken, and recruitment of manpower.

Aspire to Innovate (A2i) Program, Learning and Learning Development Project (2nd Amendment), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park Rajshahi (1st Amendment) The project, Kaliakair Hi-Tech-Park and other Hi-Tech Park Development (3rd Amendment) The project, Project Establishment of IT Business Incubator in the University, Supporting Infrastructure Project of Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City-2, Capacity Building Project of BGD e-Govt Sart, Leveraging ICT for Employment and Growth of the IT-IT ES Industry Project, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab Project.

National Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure Development, Info Government Project, Skills Development Project for IT Engineers in Japanese IT Sector, Skills Development Project for Mobile Games and Applications, Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center Establishment Project, Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Academy Establishment Project The financial and practical progress of all other projects including the project of setting up a secure email and digital literacy center for the government of Bangladesh, the project titled Connected Bangladesh, the establishment of a digital security agency and the necessary infrastructure development project was discussed in detail.

The heads of the agencies and the project managers present the implementation plans and the latest progress of their respective projects at the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the financial progress of the agencies and projects under the ICT department till May 22 is 72.66 %.

The State Minister directed the concerned persons including the project director to ensure 100% financial progress of the projects and complete the work on time while maintaining quality as per the work plan.

The project managers promised to complete the work of the projects within the stipulated time. It may be mentioned that in the current financial year, Tk 695.10 crore has been allocated in RADP for a total of 28 projects including technology under the ICT department.
