Dhaka — With the mounting popularity of smartphones, the market for apps is growing in Bangladesh and abroad.

The app market is growing in Bangladesh as well as in different countries of the world.

As a result, employment opportunities are being created in this sector. If someone wants to be successful in the apps development sector, he/she has to build herself efficiently.

The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), funded by the Government of Bangladesh, is going to launch a 200-hour free course on apps development under the project titled ‘ in Mobile Games and Applications' to create skilled manpower for this billion-dollar industry. Registration has already started.

According to ICT department sources, 16 districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions (Chapainawabganj, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Natore, Pabna, Rajshahi, Sirajganj, , Rangpur, Dinajpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Gaibandha, Thakurgaon, and Panchagarh total 100) Training on free app development will be given.

There will be 20 trainees in each batch. During the training, students will have the opportunity to be trained through cross-platform app development.

Interested candidates must have a bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, ITES, CSE, or other technology or science-related subject with at least a second year or pass.

If the situation in Corona improves, the concerned department of the government has expressed hope that the training will start in June. Bangladesh's leading IT, ITES, and training providers are working with the government to implement the project.

Upon successful completion of the course, a student will be fully qualified to work outside the country by working in various government or non-government organizations as well as freelancing by learning to develop and publish mobile applications.

Incidentally, the apps industry has a billion-dollar market. The market size of mobile apps in the world in 2019 was 154.05 billion dollars, says Grand View Research in the United States. From 2020 to 2027, the game market will grow at a rate of 11.5 %.
