eGovWatch: CJI Arvind Bobde inaugurates e-service centre at Tripura High Court

With the aim to provide court related services in a hassle free manner,  inaugurated the e-Sewa Kendra at the Tripura High Court.

Speaking about the use and significance of technology in the legal system during the e-launch, he said that systems like e-Sewa Kendra would help people get more access to the courts and legal proceedings.

He said he was acutely conscious that this technology is such that will make justice technology-dependent. However, people would know that the other option was to shut down courts, which could not be possible, particularly when it comes to the High Courts and the Supreme Court.

Bobde also said that since access to justice became dependent on technology, it is great to have e-Kendras like the one he has inaugurated. This is because it will give more access to courts.
