OTET 2017: Only 23,322 candidates qualify for Orissa Teacher Eligibility Test

Out of 94,855 candidates who had applied for Orissa Teacher Eligibility Test, only 23,322 have passed the OTET 2017.

Results: The trends of low performance in Teacher Eligibility Test seems to continue. After the dismal performance of Bihar and Gujarat, only 24.58 per cent candidates have got through the Orissa Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), the results of which were announced by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Monday. Out of 94,855 candidates who had applied, only 23,322 have passed the OTET 2017.

According to Odisha Post, 24.67 per cent candidates have qualified the Paper I examination while the Paper II recorded a pass percentage of 24.48. OTET 2017 exams were held across Odisha in two shifts from 10 am to 12.30 pm for Paper I and from 2 pm to 4.30 pm for Paper II on September 25. These examinations are held every year to select candidates for appointment as primary teacher. Now, the OTET result 2017 is available at the official website of the board at bseodisha.ac.in.

As many as 94,855 candidates had registered for the examination of which 9,734 did not appear in the test and two were caught for malpractice. As many as 23,322 have successfully cleared the tests.

To check their result, candidate should go to the official website of the board – bseodisha.ac.in. Click on the ticker on home page that says “RESULT OF ODISHA TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (OTET), 2017”. It will take you to the official partner of results announcement – indiaresults.com. There they need to enter their Roll number. After submitting the form OTET Result 2017 will be displayed.

Similarly, in September this year, only 17 per cent candidates in Bihar and 23 per cent candidates in Gujarat could clear the respective Teacher Eligibility Test. Out of 214715 candidates who appeared for Gujarat government TET examination this year, only 50755 could passed it. Bihar government's Teacher Eligibility Test saw a dismal performance. Only 16.07 per cent candidates passed paper I and 17.84% cleared paper II.
