Ericsson has launched Radio 6626, a three-sector dual-band radio that it says will increase service providers Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) 5G frequency capacity, even as their site towers are already occupied with legacy radios for 2G, 3G and 4G.
The company still has around 149 million of its total 268 million users on 2G. It plans to continue its services for a ‘very long period of time’
