As mobile devices proliferate and demand continues to transform businesses, network connectivity becomes ever more critical. According to Cisco Visual Networking Index (VNI), India’s Internet user base will touch 829 million—59% penetration—by 2021, with data usage on the Internet expected to grow 4X times at a CAGR of 30% to 6.5 exabytes per month.

The report also predicts India to boast 2.0 billion networked devices in 2021, from 1.4 billion networked devices in 2016, representing big opportunities in the rural telecom market.

We can only imagine what networks are up against with this massive ‘Data Tsunami’ that will unleash if it has not already.
