With sale starts on Nov 7, Microsoft has finally said bye to Xbox One. Xbox One console which was launched in November 2013 is no longer available for sale. According to the multiple reports, Microsoft has retired this original Xbox One console. A search on the Microsoft website also did not get any item under this name, suggesting that may not be available at all. However, officially there is no confirmation from the technology giant whose Xbox console has faced solid competition from likes of Sony PlayStation.

Interestingly, Microsoft has recently showcased the Xbox One X console at the E3 2017 in June. Now, it has begun the pre-orders for the Xbox One X: Project Scorpio edition at $499 (Rs 33,000). This console which will start selling from November 7 onwards comes with ultra high-resolution 4K capabilities and a processor with liquid-cooling technology, and company claims that it is the most powerful console to date. Some of the experts attributed the reason to the launch of this device which is more powerful for the closure of the original the Xbox One.

The outgoing Xbox One looked similar to a VCR unit and cost $100 more than Sony’s PlayStation 4 (PS4). The device faced tough competition with Sony PlayStation. The latest rival of Xbox One, Sony PlayStation 4 Pro, has cutting edge graphics processing features like six-teraflop GPU and 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM, which Xbox One was not able to match.

The other version of Xbox – The Xbox One S which was launched last year had done well in the market. It was launched in August 2016 and was a toned up version of the Xbox One console. The One S has 1 TB of and native support for 4K while having a reduced size. It lacks the support for Microsoft’s Kinect though. While there isn’t an official product page for this special edition Xbox One S, pre-bookings have already begun from 21 August and the release date has been slated at 3 October. The Minecraft edition Xbox One S console can be bought for anywhere between $300 – $350 .
