Computer peripheral firm mLogic has launched mSpeed and mSAN Thunderbolt 3 RAID solutions at NAB 2018 in Las Vegas organised by National Association of Broadcasters. Company informed that the new mSpeed desktop RAID systems feature 8 or 12 removable drive modules, Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and data transfer rates up to 2600 MB/second. Whereas mSAN, a shared storage system, enables up to four computers to directly attach to the unit via Thunderbolt 3. Both units are bundled with a full version of KYNO, a media management app for macOS and Windows.
mSpeed comes with 8- or 12-bay desktop RAID with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 or JBOD operation and offers performance up to 2600 MB/second. It will be shipped unpopulated, means user can add their own hard drives or SSDs.
mSAN comes with 12-bay desktop or 16-bay rack mountable RAID with four Thunderbolt 3 ports. To run SAN software and MDC are needed. It can directly connect up to four host systems – expandable to 16 hosts and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 or JBOD operation. It offers performance up to 2600 MB/second. It will be shipped unpopulated, means user can add their own hard drives or SSDs.
