New Delhi — LG Electronics India on Tuesday launched a new range of 15 semi-automatic washing machine models with capacities ranging from 8 kg to 12 kg, as the company plans to begin exporting the products to more than 10 countries in 2027.
The new range, manufactured at LG’s Greater Noida facility in Uttar Pradesh, comes with features aimed at improving washing performance, removing detergent residue and reducing drying time.
The company said the machines feature a Dual Spin Shower system that uses two water inlets to rinse detergent from clothes. A Roller Jet Pulsator+ is designed to improve water circulation during washing, while an Ultra Scrub Wall helps remove dirt from collars, cuffs and other heavily soiled areas.
The machines also come with a removable lint filter and Wind Jet Dry+, which uses airflow during the spin cycle to remove excess moisture from clothes.
Other features include four wash programme options and Rat Away Technology, which the company said provides additional protection against damage caused by rodents.
Select models feature a toughened glass lid with a soft-closing mechanism. The range is available in Onyx Black, Middle Black and Burgundy colour options.
“The new Semi-Automatic Washing Machine range is designed for consumers who expect more from everyday laundry. It combines LG’s trusted technology, durable engineering, premium design and smart features that solve real household challenges,” said Young Min Hwang, Home Appliances Solution Sales Division Leader, LG Electronics India.
LG said the new machines are being manufactured at its Greater Noida facility, which uses automation, robotics and AI-enabled inspection systems for production and quality control.
The company plans to begin exporting the new AX semi-automatic washing machine range in 2027, targeting more than 10 countries. It did not disclose the proposed export markets.
LG has not announced the prices of the new models or specified when they will be available across retail channels.
