The  new handset will not use the Samsung GN1 sensor in the Pixel 6 series

Google News

Global technology giant is set to launch its first Pixel in 2022. The new phone is said to be codenamed ‘Pipit' and may come with the same camera sensor as the Pixel 5 series.

According to reports, the new handset will not use the Samsung GN1 sensor in the Pixel 6 series. Instead, it may feature a 12MP IMX386 sensor. The camera could be used for an ultra-wide sensor and is said to be used when the phone is closed.

Other sensors that are likely to come with the foldable Pixel phone are dual 8MP IMX355 sensors- one will be tagged as ‘inner', the other as ‘outer'. In the past, Pixel phones have used the IMX355 sensor for the selfie camera. It is believed that these two cameras will ensure that the foldable pixel phone will be able to capture the same quality selfie photos when folded or unfolded.

Meanwhile, it is yet not known whether the new Pixel foldable phone will sport an under-display camera sensor like on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or a hole punch style like on the present Pixel phones.

Further reports claim that Google's foldable will be powered by a Tensor chipset. It may be paired with 12GB of RAM and may offer up to 512GB of internal storage.

The technology major is also likely to come with a 120Hz refresh rate display like its competitors. The company has not officially revealed any information about the upcoming foldable device although the tech giant did confirm the testing of a foldable prototype.

As per reports, Google has struck a deal with Samsung to procure LTPO OLED panels for foldable smartphones. The phone is rumoured to come with a 7.6-inch display with a resolution of 1768 x 2208 pixels.

How can focusing on human behaviour build a stronger cyber risk-aware culture

A risk-aware culture is critical to the development of a strong cybersecurity environment. We should build a risk culture among management and stakeholders as an added benefit or reward rather than a burden on the firm's personnel.
