Japanese consumer electronics brand AKAI has launched its PowerView television series in India, powered by Google TV on Android 14. The range spans from a 32-inch HD Ready model to a 75-inch QLED 4K display, with prices starting at ₹13,990.
The PowerView series is built on MediaTek‘s MT9603 chipset and supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, and MEMC motion smoothing. The larger models feature 4K resolution, while the flagship 75-inch set uses QLED display technology.
The TVs run Google TV powered by Android 14, offering personalized recommendations, content discovery across streaming platforms, and integration with Google services such as Assistant and Chromecast. Android 14 also provides stronger privacy controls, regular updates, and improved subtitle and multi-language support.
Connectivity options include Miracast and New Cast for mirroring or casting from smartphones and tablets.
The PowerView series includes features aimed at accessibility, such as dynamic colour correction, adjustable fonts for subtitle readability, and enhanced clarity for older viewers. The design also incorporates energy-efficient components and gesture-friendly navigation.
The new televisions will be sold through AKAI’s direct-to-consumer website as well as leading offline retailers across India.
AKAI, founded in Tokyo in 1929, has been active in the consumer electronics market for over nine decades and operates in categories including televisions, audio systems, washing machines, and air conditioners.
