Tata Communications launches next-gen Cloud fabric for enterprises

Tata Communications announced the launch of Vayu, a new Cloud platform aimed at addressing challenges faced by businesses in managing IT infrastructure. The platform is designed to simplify Cloud usage, reduce costs and support the growing demand for -driven solutions.

The Cloud fabric combines various services, including infrastructure, software platforms, AI tools, and connectivity, into a single system. According to the company, this integration helps businesses avoid the complexity of managing multiple vendors and reduces operational costs. The platform claims to offer cost savings of up to 30% compared to traditional Cloud solutions, with no additional charges for data transfers.

Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director and CEO of Communications, said, “As the digital era accelerates, the need for enterprise Cloud and AI solutions that balance performance, cost and sustainability has never been greater. The platform includes features such as on-demand access to high-performance computing resources, which are essential for AI development. The platform is designed to support businesses across various sectors, including government, financial services and retail. It ensures that data can be accessed seamlessly across different environments, such as on-premises systems, Cloud servers and edge devices, while maintaining security and compliance with regulations like the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules 2025.
