Top Indian techies' backed Uniphore Technologies, a company that uses artificial intelligence to improve an enterprises' customer service calls has announced a pact to acquire Israeli contact centre automation provider Jacada to make it easier for customers to integrate its solutions using the latter's low code/no-code platform.
This comes after Tamil Nadu based company, Uniphore raised $140 million in a Series D funding round led by Palo Alto-based Sorenson Capital Partners in March. The company also acquired Emotion Research Labs earlier this year to up its tech capabilities.
“I welcome the Jacada team and celebrate the announcement that will ultimately bring cutting-edge low code/no-code technology to our portfolio along with a very talented team of professionals who will supercharge the Uniphore innovation engine,” Umesh Sachdev, co-founder and CEO at Uniphore said.
According to a company statement, the acquisition comes at a time when enterprises are having more conversations with their customers over multiple mediums, and it will make the company the only vendor in the market to provide low code/no code capabilities for voice and video AI solutions.
The company said that Jacada's team, its intellectual property, and its products will become part of Uniphore, subject to the closing conditions of the deal.
