Ford India extends role for Kapil Sharma, elevates him as GM consumer marketing

Sharma will continue to fulfill his present responsibilities as head of communications. In this new role, he will be responsible for integrated marketing of Ford Brand

In a high-profile management change, Ford India has announced to elevate as the general manager for consumer marketing in India. Sharma is at present heading the company’s PR, communications, and initiatives. Sharma will assume a new charge on June 1.

Ford India in a statement stated that Sharma will continue to fulfill his present responsibilities as head of communications. In this new role, Sharma will be responsible for steering the Ford Brand and business forward with integrated marketing and communications efforts.

Sharma will directly to Rahul Gautam, marketing and Anurag Mehrotra – president and managing director, Ford India along with IMG Comms leader, Sinead Phipps.

Prior to joining Ford India in September 2013 as manager, corporate communications Sharma was working with BMW India as manager- press and corporate affairs. He has also worked with Genesis Burson Marsteller as an associate partner.
