Dell EMC and NIT Jalandhar sign MoU to offer course on Data Science and Cloud Infra

Under this MoU, Dell EMC will set up a Cloud and Data Science Lab in NIT Jalandhar. This lab will help faculty & students of NIT Jalandhar develop key skills in the areas of Data Science and Cloud Infrastructure

Global technology infrastructure giant Dell EMC has signed a MoU with NIT Jalandhar, which makes college a member of Dell EMC’s External Research and Academic Alliance Program.

Under this MoU, Dell EMC will set up a Cloud and Lab in NIT Jalandhar. This lab will help faculty and students of NIT Jalandhar develop key skills in the areas of Data Science and Cloud Infrastructure.

More than 200 students of NIT Jalandhar will benefit from this program, said Dell EMC. Apart from this, Dell EMC will ensure that SMEs deliver technology lectures at the University to help students learn how to apply these technologies practically.

“With the increasing focus on everything digital, ensuring that the youth are exposed to the technologies of today is very crucial. Hence, is our pleasure to be associated with Dell EMC, who is a pioneer in digital transformation in India,” said Professor Lalit K Awasthi, Director of NIT Jalandhar.

The curriculum will be shared by Dell EMC and they will also train the staff of both Information & Technology & Science Engineering Department. Apart from this, Dell EMC will be exploring joint research & development as well as student projects around cloud and data science, said company.

US-based technology giant claimed that over 575,000 students are have already been educated through Dell EMC Academic Alliance program.
