Law firm Simmons & Simmons opts for private cloud and unified backup solution from Orange Business Services

Simmons & Simmons, an international legal practice based in the , has leveraged a private cloud solution from Orange Services, said a statement. The law firm introduced the Orange private cloud solution as part of a move toward an IT-as-a-service model to benefit its customers.

It evolved to now include an Orange managed backup solution using the Veeam platform, which provides a unified backup system and data replication for mission-critical applications and disaster recovery globally, said Orange Business Services.

Employing over 1,500 people, Simmons & Simons operates out of 22 offices in major business and financial centers throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and . As an international law firm, it operates in an industry with stringent regulatory compliance and concerns.

Orange Business Services said it was selected as a supplier to help navigate the complexities of the cloud and overcome any governance issues. The partnership represents Simmons & Simmons’ first step into managed services, with further deployments planned in other key areas, such as unified communications to help continue the law firm’s journey toward digital transformation, said Orange Business Services.
