Ankur Goel to head Plantronics and Polycom business in India

Days after making announcement about new leadership in Asia Pacific () region, American audio and unified communication firm Plantronics said that has appointed Ankur Goel as Managing Director for India & SAARC.

The compay which recently acquired Polycom said that Goel will oversee both Plantronics and Polycom business in India and manage the company’s joint business spanning voice, video, content and cloud solutions.

Goel will be responsible for expanding Plantronics’ footprint in the government, commercial and SMB sectors. He will to Pierre-Jean Châlon, Senior Vice , Asia Pacific.

Goel has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise communication. More recently, he was Sales Director of India for Polycom.

After Plantronics acquired Polycom, the company has extended portfolio of integrated products and service spanning across headsets, software, desk phones, audio and video conferencing, and cloud services. Plantronics has significant presence in Asia Pacific, with multiple offices in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
