As part of the action plan to equip the Gorakhpur Link Expressway with an ITMS, a traffic management command centre will be established on the expressway. This centre will significantly enhance traffic monitoring and management.

Motion detection surveillance cameras and a vehicle speed detection system will be installed on both sides of the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. These systems will enable the control room to issue alerts and track overspeeding vehicles in real time.

Additionally, the Video Incident Detection System (VIDS) and Incident Detection System (IDS) will be implemented as part of the ITMS process. The selected agency will be responsible for procuring, installing, operating, and maintaining all these systems.

Furthermore, the agency will provide training to UPEIDA staff on operations and oversee the appointment of technical and control room operation staff as part of this initiative.
