According to senior government officials, the digitisation of land records will eliminate any scope of manipulation which has become a significant menace after the bifurcation of the state.

According to sources, after the Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS reviewed the records of a resurvey taken up on an experimental basis in Thakkellapadu of Jaggayyapeta mandal, he instructed the officials to start the resurvey on a massive scale from January 1, 2021.

“On being satisfied with the resurvey results, the chief minister instructed the officials to implement the same method throughout the state and start the work simultaneously in urban and rural areas on the new year day,” said an official, adding that “he also asked them to chalk out a programme to complete the entire resurvey of all lands in the state by the end of August 2023.”
