New Delhi, January 29, 2024 — Tech Observer Magazine, in collaboration with SIIC IIT Kanpur, is gearing up to host the third edition of the National DefTech Summit 2024. Scheduled for February 02, 2024, in New Delhi, the summit is themed ‘Reimagine India's Techade for Defence, Aerospace and Aviation'.

This prestigious event is set to convene over 150 industry delegates, including senior defence technology leaders, government officials, and deftech startups, marking a significant gathering in the sector.

The comes at a time when India's remarkable progress in digital public infrastructure, under the initiative, has laid a robust foundation for advancements in defence, aerospace, and aviation sectors. The summit is aimed at catalysing this transformation, pushing India to set global benchmarks in these critical domains.

The day-long event will cover a wide array of topics in defence technology, ranging from the role of Generative AI in Defence, Aerospace, and Aviation sectors, to the impact of AI, Machine Learning, and Quantum Technology in securing future defence. Other significant areas of discussion include Emerging Technologies and Innovation in Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS), Cyber Security & in the Digital India context, the role of startups in revolutionizing defence through drone technology, and various aspects of logistic management, ERP & IT Architecture transformation.

The event will feature more than 35 speakers, including prominent figures such as Dr. Omkar Rai (Executive Chairman, Startup Odisha), Shri Rahul Priyadarshi (Chief General Manager, Small Industries Development Bank of India – SIDBI), and Dr. Nikhil Agarwal (CEO, IIT Kanpur FIRST & AIIDE).

Other notable speakers include Lt. Gen Vinod G Khandare (Principal Adviser to the Ministry of Defence, Government of India), Air Marshal CR Mohan (Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance, AIR HQ, Indian Air Force), and representatives from DRDO, the Indian Army, and the Indian Air Force.

Participants can expect a diverse audience, ranging from secretaries to officials from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Ministry of Defence, Defence PSUs, deftech startups, and experts from the aviation and telecom sectors.

This offers an excellent opportunity for networking, gaining insights into the latest developments in defence technology, and engaging in discussions that will shape the future of India's defence sector.

The summit is supported by various partners, including SatCom Industry Association (SIA-India) as the supporting partner. STMicro quarterly profit declines by 18.4% owing to slow demand
