L&T, PTC deepen ties for aerospace, defence and transportation solutions

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has announced an extension of its relationship with PTC. The focus will be on developing solutions for the aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors.

(LTTS) has announced an extension of its relationship with . The focus will be on developing solutions for the , defense, and transportation sectors. The collaboration will utilize PTC's Windchill product lifecycle and product data management (PLM/PDM) application to assist in Aerospace & Defense segments by creating a digital thread from design to manufacturing, said the company.

The Windchill product suite is designed for the prediction of aero engine and components failure, offering engineering analytics. LTTS will provide domain expertise and RUL prediction models, using PTC tools/platforms to create a solution for customers. This will facilitate improvements in aerospace MRO operations, field repairs, and aftermarket support through AR/VR integration with digital manuals (IETM) and workflow via PTC ThingWorx platform, said the company.

LTTS has a global relationship with PTC, aiming to provide Smart Digital Solutions & Services to shared customers. The extended collaboration will cater to the aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors, utilising the PLM/PDM application for the digital transformation of data from design to manufacturing stages.

Alind Saxena, President, Sales and Whole Time Director, L&T Technology Services, confirmed the alliance extension with PTC for the aerospace industry. He noted that the joint solutions would be beneficial in Industrial IoT, Data Engineering, and the entire product and service life cycle management for aerospace and defense companies.

“We are excited that LTTS has chosen PTC as a key partner for delivering engineering and PLM managed services. With the extension to the aerospace and defense verticals, we and LTTS will further extend our capabilities to unlock new and improved business values across multiple industry verticals. This will further help to leverage each other's resources, technology, market presence and engineering know-how, serving the aviation sector in EU as well as the rest of the world,” said Stuart Heavyside, Chief Partner Officer, PTC.
