Veeam Software held its VeeamON Tour India in Delhi as part of the ongoing ‘Bharat Cyber Suraksha Campaign.’ The event, which attracted senior government officials and CIOs and CISOs from various industries, put spotlight on the ways to enhance data resilience across India, particularly in response to rising , including ransomware.

Ransomware remains a significant concern for organisations, and the VeeamON Tour India event provided a platform for IT professionals, industry leaders, and technology partners to share knowledge and strategies. The 2024 Veeam Ransomware Trends Report noted that 41% of data is compromised during cyberattacks. The event focused on helping backup and recovery professionals protect their organisations from such vulnerabilities.

Sandeep Bhambure, Vice President and Managing Director, Veeam Software for India and SAARC, discussed the importance of data resilience in India’s digital landscape. He noted, “As India continues to emerge as a technological hub, our goal is to raise awareness about the critical importance of data resilience in an evolving threat landscape.”

Sessions covered trends in , ransomware mitigation, and the role of AI in cybersecurity. Additionally, Veeam introduced its first ransomware whitepaper for the , titled “Comprehensive Ransomware Mitigation Strategies for India,” which includes guidelines from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) and addresses aspects of disaster recovery and business continuity.

The Delhi event was part of the broader VeeamON Tour India series, which aims to prepare professionals to tackle emerging cyber threats. Discussions covered data resilience, AI, cloud solutions, and diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.
