With the Internet-borne threats like zero-day attacks, botnets and security breaches rising, has become imperative for enterprises to have greater control and better visibility of web-traffic coming to their network. To address this challenge, earlier in July, Quick Heal Technologies security brand Seqrite launched Seqrite Secure Web Gateway in India. The company said that Seqrite SWG uses URL filtering, SSL inspection, deep inspection, malware protection, and application control technologies to provide comprehensive protection from advanced Internet-borne threats.

“The threat landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and the technology that cybercriminals now have at their disposal means that the scale, complexity, and surface area of cyber-attacks just keeps increasing. This puts enterprises, at great risk, as malicious actors often target business networks to gain access to sensitive data. Since the Internet is often used as the medium to deliver attack payload, we wanted to provide our enterprise customers with an advanced security solution that protects them against advanced threats on the web. Seqrite Secure Web Gateway is the culmination of that vision,” said Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, Quick Heal Technologies.

He added that Seqrite SWG’s USP lies in the depth of its end-to-end security framework, as well as easy usability and scalability. “What Seqrite SWG essentially does is provide enterprise users with a comprehensive web and application security solution that is easy to use, scalable, and can be conveniently reconfigured and managed. It is built on a symmetric multiprocessing-aware multithreaded architecture that efficiently meets the most challenging Secure Web Gateway requirements. This differentiation allows Seqrite SWG to ensure better privacy, policy implementation, and controls, be it for content or internet access. We are confident that the solution can ensure superlative protection for enterprise systems and networks against advanced threats, across all security environments,” he added.
