Practo, the -based digital healthcare platform, has appointed Srijesh Kumar as its Global Chief Product and Technology Officer to lead product development and AI integration as the company expands internationally.

Kumar, who joins from Salesforce where he served as Vice President of product engineering, will oversee Practo’s product and technology teams. His appointment comes as the company accelerates the use of artificial intelligence across its healthcare services.

Practo operates a platform that connects patients with doctors, enabling users to search for physicians, book appointments and complete consultations. The company says it serves millions of patients across more than 2,400 cities globally.

As CPTO, a role that combines responsibility for both product strategy and technology infrastructure, Kumar will work to align Practo’s engineering, product and data teams. His brief includes strengthening the platform’s technical architecture and building systems that use Practo’s healthcare data to deliver what the company describes as more consistent outcomes.

“What drew me to Practo is the opportunity to work on problems that have a real, human impact at scale,” Kumar said. “Healthcare is one of the most meaningful areas where technology can make a life-changing difference, not just in improving access but in reducing suffering and enabling better health outcomes.”

Kumar added that building from India for global markets was a significant factor in his decision. “India today has the talent and capability to build platforms that can scale globally, and Practo has already demonstrated that,” he said.

Kumar brings more than 20 years of experience in building large-scale technology platforms. At Salesforce, he led product engineering for the company’s Industries division, working on loyalty and promotions management systems.

Before Salesforce, he spent several years at Expedia Group, the travel technology company, where he built and led distributed engineering teams across core travel platforms. His earlier career included roles at Punchh, Adobe and Microsoft.

Practo strengthening technology leadership

Kumar’s appointment follows Practo’s recent of Cijo George as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence. The company said both appointments reflect its investment in technology leadership as it pursues international growth.

Practo, founded in 2008, has built what it describes as one of the world’s largest care-navigation platforms. The company’s consumer platform allows patients to discover doctors, book appointments and manage their healthcare needs .

Kumar will be based in India and is expected to begin his role immediately.
