HUL elevates CEO Sanjiv Mehta as president commissioner for Unilever Indonesia

Mehta will join the company's board of commissioners and chair the same in a non-executive capacity.

In a top-level administrative change, consumer goods company Hindustan Unilever has announced to elevate CEO and managing director Sanjiv Mehta as president commissioner (non-executive chairman) of Anglo-Dutch FMCG major Unilever’s Indonesia business.

According to the company Mehta’s appointment as president commissioner of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (Unilever Indonesia), a public company, will be “subject to approval from shareholders at the next extraordinary general meeting to be held on July 28, 2022,” HUL said in a statement.

“He will join the company’s board of commissioners and chair the same in a non-executive capacity,” the statement said.

Mehta will also continue to be chief executive officer and managing director of HUL and president, Unilever South Asia. He is also a member of the Unilever executive and president of the Federation of Indian Chambers of & (FICCI).

It is one of the foremost FMCG companies of Indonesia employing nearly 5,000 people.
