Byju’s appoints Oyo tech chief Anil Goel as president technology

Goel was previously the Group Chief Technology and Product Officer at OYO prior to joining Byju's

Byju’s has appointed as – Technology. He will be responsible for the strategic direction of technology within  Byju’s and its group companies and will be expected to implement emerging technologies to improve learning outcomes and efficiency in support of the company’s long-term goals.

Additionally, the company stated that he will be responsible for product development, network operations, and the installation of management information systems, software , and infrastructure.

Over the course of his 25-year career, Goel has spent most of his time in the United States. He was previously the Group Chief Technology and Product Officer at OYO prior to joining Byju’s.

He is credited with growing Oyo global business covering over 80 countries using technology as a member of the core strategy team. He previously worked with Amazon, RealNetworks, and HyperQuality.

“Anil is a proven leader with 25+ years of rich experience in building technology systems and processes in different organisations. At Byju’s, he will play a key role in building the next-generation technology in the education space. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to working together and supporting him in achieving the goals,” Pravin Prakash, Chief People Officer,  Byju’s stated.

Goel earned an MBA in Marketing from the City University of Seattle and a B.Tech. (Hons.) in Electrical and Electronics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani.
