Credit Suisse exe Robert Peck to lead Barclays Internet banking

Barclays has appointed Robert Peck as Chairman of Global Internet Banking in the Technology Banking Group. Peck will be based in New York and will report to Laurence Braham and Greg Dalvito, Co-Heads of Technology Banking, Americas at Barclays.

Peck joins Barclays with over 20 years of experience in Banking, most recently as Global Head of Internet Investment Banking at Credit Suisse. Prior to Credit Suisse, Peck was Global Head of Internet Research at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, a division of SunTrust Banks Inc. In this role he covered Internet and diversified media stocks including , Amazon, Facebook, Google and Netflix, and he has been named for several years in Institutional Investors’ Annual All-America Research rankings.

Before joining SunTrust in 2013, Mr. Peck was of CoRise, a Merchant focused on innovation and disruptive technologies in digital media, and from 2008 to 2011 he was Senior Technology and Internet Equity Analyst at Baron Capital. Peck has also previously worked for Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers, and he started his career at Merrill Lynch.

Peck’s hire follows Barclays’ appointment of Riaz Ladhabhoy as Co-Head of Internet Banking, Americas in February. Barclays appointed Mark Zanoli as Vice Chairman of Technology Banking and Ed Wehle as Head of Global Technology Services Banking during 2018, and Ben Freeland as Co-Head of Software Banking, Americas in the fall of 2017.

Peck will start at Barclays in June 2019.
