“India continues to be one of Ball’s most important strategic growth markets, and this investment reflects our confidence in the country’s long-term economic potential and the continued growth of aluminium packaging,” Glew added.

The company has made recent investments in its Taloja and Sri City facilities to strengthen its position in the Indian market, though it did not specify the nature or scale of these investments.

Aluminium packaging

Aluminium beverage cans are increasingly positioned as a sustainable alternative to plastic packaging. The material is infinitely recyclable without loss of quality, and the recycling process requires significantly less than producing new aluminium from raw materials.
