Ahead of 5G rollout Realme launches 9i 5G phones in India

The new Realme 9i 5G is priced at Rs 14,999 for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

Just months ahead of 5G rollout in India, Chinese brand Realme has announced the launch of Realme 9i 5G smartphone in India. According to the company, the new device packs a 6.6-inch display with 90Hz screen refresh and also features a 50MP triple rear setup. The phone also comes with the company’s Dynamic RAM Expansion technology that adds virtual RAM by borrowing the same from the internal .

The phone comes with what the company likes to call its Vintage CD Design. The new Realme 9i 5G is priced at Rs 14,999 for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone will go on sale in India on August 24 at 12pm in Metallica Gold, Rocking Black, and Soulful Blue colour varaints.

The Realme 9i 5G measures 164.4×75.1×8.1mm and weighs 187g. The smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400) screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits brightness. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC along with up to 6GB of RAM. The Realme 9i 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

As far as cameras are concerned, the Realme 9i 5G packs a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture lens. Other cameras on the back of the handset include a portrait lens and a macro camera. For selfies, the smartphone packs a 8MP shooter.

The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. The Realme 9i 5G runs Realme UI 3.0, which is based on . The Realme 9i 5G comes with up to 128GB internal storage that can be expanded by using a microSD card (up to 1TB).
