WBTET 2017 online application form last date ends on Oct 29, here’s how to apply

West Bengal Board of Primary Education has started accepting online application for WBTET 2017. The last date to submit online ends on October 29. Now, all the candidates who wish to pursue a in primary education in the state can go to the official websites – wbbpe.org or wbsed.gov.in to submit the online form. According to multiple reports about 30,000 vacancies in the state are to be filled with the help of WBTET 2017 examination.

Recently the government announced that candidates applying for WBTET need to have two years of teachers’ training and 50% marks in Higher Secondary examination. Even students seeking jobs on compensatory grounds need to fulfil the criterion. The board had cited NCTE guideline for changing the eligibility criteria.

So far only application form are being accepted, the board has not announced the examination date as to when WBTET 2017 exams would be conducted. However, according to multiple reports, it is likely to be held in December 2017. The general category candidates would have to score at least 50 per cent and the reserved category aspirants – , ST and OBC– 45 per cent in the Higher Secondary examination to be eligible to appear in the WBTET.

Like all other state board teacher’s eligibility test, WBTET is also a mandatory requirement to teach students from Class 1 to Class V in West Bengal. The WBTET 2017 is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in West Bengal state-aided . Apart from the reserved category candidates, this relaxation of 5 per cent marks will also be applicable for family members of a state government employee, who died in harness, board president said. There will not be any relaxation regarding the completion of a two-year teachers’ training programme.

Steps to apply for WBTET 2017

Step 1: Go to the official websites – wbbpe.org or wbsed.gov.in

Step 2: Click on ‘ONLINE APPLICATION FOR TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET)-2017 (Primary) FOR CLASS I-V’.

Step 3: Generate Login ID and Password after putting your details.

Step 4: Submit require documents like photo, signature ID, Caste Certificate online while filling the form.

Step 5: Get print of the form before submission for your reference.

Step 6: Make the Fees payment.

Step 7: Download the application for with e-paid stamp.
