SSC MTS Exam 2017: Few hours before SSCT MTS Re-Exam, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an advisory asking candidates not to wear veil, nose-pin, earrings, full sleeves clothes, or shoes during the examination. In a notification issued on its website – ssc.nic.in, SSC said, “Candidates should not wear charms, veil, items containing metals such as belts, ring, bracelet, earrings, nose-pin, chains, necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, hair pin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves or big buttons, etc.” The Commission advised the candidates to wear open footwear like chappal, flotter, instead of shoes as the candidates would be asked to remove shoes by the frisking staff.
SSC which conduct various test for recruitment for central government has also strictly advised the candidates to desist from bringing bags, mobile phones and prohibited item such as watches, books, pens, paper chits, magazines, electronic gadgets (mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, head phones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanner, calculator, storage devices etc. into the examination venue. SSC said that Pen/pencil and paper for rough work would be provided in the examination lab. Electronic watch (timer) will be available on the computer screen allotted to the candidates. “In case a candidate bring any such item, they would have to make their own arrangements for safe custody of such items. The Commission will not make any arrangement nor be responsible for the safe custody of any such item,” said notification.
“If any such item is found in the possession of a candidate in the examination lab, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled and legal/criminal proceedings could be initiated against him/her. He/she would also liable to be debarred from appearing in future examinations of the Commission for a period of 3 years,” said SSC.
Candidates are also cautioned that they should appear only once for the Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) Examination, 2016. Any candidate, who appears more than once for the examination, would not only be disqualified from the examination but would also be debarred for three years from all examinations conducted by the Commission.
SSC warned that candidates must also refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of the Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) Examination, 2016. If any candidate is found obstructing the conduct of the examination or creating disturbances at the examination venue, his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from future examinations of the Commission and legal/criminal proceedings could be initiated against him/her.
Candidates are advised to strictly adhere to the Reporting Time mentioned in their Admit Cards. They are required to reach the examination venue well in time. No entry, under any circumstances, would be allowed after the entry closing time, said notification.
Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) Examination, 2016 will consist of objective type Multiple Choice Questions in Online Test. Those applicants who will qualify in the tier I exam will be allowed to appear in tier II examination.
SSC MTS Exam 2017 Pattern
Under SSC MTS Exam 2017, candidates will be tested on general intelligence & reasoning, numerical aptitude, general English, general awareness. Each of these subjects have been equal weight of 25 marks. The total number of marks would be 100. The duration of exam would be 90 minutes for general candidates and 120 minutes for visually handicapped, cerebral palsy candidates.

As per the SSC MTS exam 2017 patterns, SSC will first publish the results of paper 1. Only those candidates who have qualified in paper 1 would be allowed to seat for paper 2. Then those who would appear for paper 2 will have to obtain a minimum cut off marks/qualifying marks set by SSC in order to be considered for merit.
