PUC Results 2018 Karnataka declared at pue.kar.nic.in; Here’s how to check

PUC Results 2018 Karnataka: The result of second year has been declared. The PUC Results 2018 Karnataka is available online at pue.kar.nic.in. These examinations were held between March 1 and 17. According to reports, 3,52,292 boys and 3,37,860 girls totalling 6,90,152 students appeared for these exams.

Earlier, in a statement, Karnataka primary and secondary education department said, the results of the 2nd year PU exams would be announced on Monday. All the arrangements have been done to ensure technical-glitch free announcement of the results. Also, the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination results is likely to be announced at kseeb.kar.nic.in on May 7, 2018.

In the past large number of cases of paper leak case used to be reported but this year PU board took elaborate measures to prevent leakage of question papers. Adequate arrangements were made to complete these exams in free, fair and transparent manner and also guidelines were issued to ensure timely evaluation of these papers.

CCTV cameras were installed at all 1,004 examination centres in the state and activities related exams were being monitored to avoid any malpractice. CCTV cameras had also been installed at district and taluk treasuries where question papers were kept. The cameras at the treasuries had been linked to the numbers of the PUE Department Director and Deputy Commissioner of the district concerned. In case of any threat or emergency, the DDPUE and DC would have got alerts. Also, the vehicles carrying question papers to exam centres were fitted with GPS to track the movement.

The board also sought preventive custody of all those who were involved in question paper leak cases during previous examinations. Apart from tightening of the security, Karnataka allowed the student to travel from their home to examination centres and back to home freely in KSRTC Vegdoot buses.

Due to heavy traffic, the website may be slow on the day of the results announcement, however, the government official confirmed that proper measures have been taken by the state government to ensure easy, smooth and timely access to PUC Results 2018.

The Department of pre-university, Government of Karnataka is the organisation for implementation of higher secondary education in the state. It functions under the Department of Primary & Secondary Education.

There are over 1202 government pre-university colleges, 637 aided pre-university colleges, 1936 unaided pre-university colleges, 165 bifurcated pre-university colleges & 13 corporation pre-university colleges in the state.

After Class 10, every year about 10 lakhs students enroll in the 2-year pre-university courses. The courses are broadly classified under the categories of Humanities (Arts), Science & . There are about 23 subjects, 11 languages and 50 combinations in the pre-University curriculum.

  • Go to the official website: kseeb.kar.nic.in
  • Click on the link “Karnataka PUC Pre University Certification Examination II results 2018”
  • Enter your Roll number and the other details
  • Click on Submit button
  • Your Karnataka PUC Pre University Certification Examination Class 12 result will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a print out for future references
