PUC Results 2017 Karnataka to be declared today at 3 pm; Here’s how to check

Karnataka: The result of the second year PU examinations of Karnataka will be declared at 3 pm today (May 11). The PUC Results 2017 Karnataka will be available online. These examinations were held between March 9 and 27. According to reports, 3,48,563 boys and 3,35,909 girls totaling 6,84,490 students appeared for these exams.

In a statement, Karnataka primary and secondary education minister Tanveer Sait said, “The results of the 2nd year PU exams would be announced on Thursday. Due to technical glitches and the server is slow, the result would not be released before 3 pm.”

The minister also informed that Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results will also be announced on Friday, May 12, at 3 pm.

Due to cases of paper leakage reported in the past, this year PU board took elaborate measures to prevent the leakage of question papers. According to the report, adequate arrangements were made to complete this examination in a free, fair and transparent manner and also guidelines were issued to ensure timely evaluation of these papers.

Due to heavy traffic, the website may be slow on the day of the results announcement, however, a government official confirmed that proper measures have been taken by the state government to ensure easy, smooth and timely access to PUC Results 2017.

The Department of pre-university, Government of Karnataka is the organisation for the implementation of higher secondary education in the state. It functions under the Department of Primary & Secondary Education.

There are over 1202 government pre-university colleges, 637 aided pre-university colleges, 1936 unaided pre-university colleges, 165 bifurcated pre-university colleges & 13 corporation pre-university colleges in the state.

After Class 10, every year about 10 lakhs of students enrol in the 2-year pre-university courses. The courses are broadly classified under the categories of Humanities (Arts), & . There are about 23 subjects, 11 languages and 50 combinations in the pre-University curriculum.
