The last date to submit the online status for being OBC for Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2016 has been extended to September 18, till 5 pm, said a notification from Delhi Police and SSC. Keeping in view the difficulties faced by the candidates, Staff Selection Commission has extended the deadline for the candidates to update their status if they prima facie have the proof of being OBC. Earlier, the last date to submit these details was September 10, 2017.
In earlier notification dated August 29, SSC has decided not to insist upon the candidates to produce OBC Certificates issued within the cut off dates between October 11, 2013 and April 8, 2017 for Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2016. As per the notification issued earlier for Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2016, the candidates were required to submit OBC certificate, containing non-creamy layer status issued between October 11, 2013 and April 8, 2017 but many of candidates could not do so within the specified time. Keeping in view the difficulties faced by the candidates, SSC has decided not to insist on OBC certificate.
SCC had also decided to consider those candidates whose candidature were not considered by the Delhi Police during the conduct of PST/PE&MT on the grounds of not having valid OBC Certificate. Now, those candidates can request to SSC to confirm as to whether they are inclined to attend PST/PE&MT to be conducted shortly by the Delhi Police in case they have prima facie proof of being OBC, so as to process their claim under the OBC category.
The last date for updating above information was September 10, 2017 till 5.00 but now SSC has extend the deadline to September 18, till 5 pm. The commission has said that no further extension would be given, Candidate can go to ssconline.nic.in/dpconstable/ to update their status.
