The Commerce Minister said people need to have a clear idea about e-commerce. For this, public awareness needs to be raised, journalists can play an important role in this regard.

He mentioned that with the development of the country, the condition of the people has improved and the purchasing power has increased. He said that some organizations are trying to deceive the people by taking advantage of this opportunity.

He added that the organizations that have deceived people before having a lot of resources. It is possible to pay off the debts of many by selling the assets. He emphasized the government is working on these considerations.

Tipu Munshi said: “Bangladesh Competition Commission is a new body under the Ministry of Commerce, which is working to ensure fair competition in the market. He mentioned that the role of media is paramount in the implementation of competition law.”

Bangladesh Competition Commission Chairperson said in a statement Mofizul Islam said that the commission has taken steps to investigate any issues on its own initiative based on the information published through the media. Self-motivated lawsuits have been filed alleging anti-competition activities. He sought the cooperation of the media to create a fair competitive market by implementing competition laws.
