Facing flak from govt, TikTok says it will launch safety centre in Bangladesh

TikTok has announced the launch of a safety centre in Bangladesh.  The online safety centre is a one-stop destination.  Which helps users to control themselves while using the app and ensure greater security.  TikTok said this in a recent press release.

Dhaka: TikTok has announced the launch of a safety center in Bangladesh. The online safety center is a one-stop destination that helps users to control themselves while using the app and ensure greater security, TikTok said in a recent press release.

A spokesman for TikTok said: “The Safety Center is a resource for users to stay safe and enjoy the potential experience while using the app.  We believe that online security is our responsibility.  For this, users, experts, governments, and platforms have to work together.  We are proud that we have continued to take active steps”

TikTok has announced the launch of a safety centre in Bangladesh.  The online safety centre is a one-stop destination.  Which helps users to control themselves while using the app and ensure greater security.  TikTok said this in a recent press release.

The Safety Center also has instructions on how to prevent cyberbullying.  It has a Parental Guide feature, Family Pairing that allows parents or family members to link their TikTok account to teens as well.

This allows parents to have more control over what their children are doing on the platform.  The TikTok Safety Center has a number of articles and safety videos, which are quite easy to use.

Earlier, TikTok launched its Public Service Announcement (PSA) titled #HoiShocheton which has helped raise awareness in the digital community about online scams, security and responsible use of platforms. Earlier, on the occasion of World Day in 2020, TikTok announced the launch of the #AmraSafeInternetSafe in Bangladesh.
