Dhamaka is not providing Tk200 cr to sellers

Sellers are required to return this taka within five working days. If they do not pay within this period, they will take legal action against the MD and chairman of the company.

Dhaka: After Evaly, e- company Dhamaka (Invariant Limited) has been conned by 3 lakh customers including 650 sellers.

or sellers of Dhamaka Shopping.com have been claimed to have arrears of Tk200 crore. Zahidul Islam, public relations officer of Dhamaka Shopping.com Sellar Association, made these demands at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) on Saturday.

Sellers are required to return this taka within five working days. If they do not pay within this period, they will take legal action against the MD and chairman of the company.

Jahidul Islam said, ‘Jahangir Alam, President of Dhamaka Shopping.com Sellers Association, Dr. I demand from M Ali and managing director SMD Jasim Uddin Chishti to repay the sellers ‘debt of around Tk200 crore within the next five working days.’

In response to a question, he said, “One lakh products are yet to be delivered to the customers.” Which is Tk100 crore in money. ‘

At the press conference, it was said: “the customers took money from us saying that they would pay the bill within 10 working days of submitting the bill with the product.”

But sadly those 10 working days have now passed in 160 days. But since April, Dhamakar has not paid about Tk 200 crore to the sellers for delivering the goods to the directed customers, he added.

Zahidul Islam, public relations officer of the association, said in a written statement at the press conference that he would take necessary steps under the direction of the chairman of Dhamaka Shopping.com to reimburse the sellers and supply the goods to the customers.

A special request is made to the concerned authorities to take appropriate decisions regarding Dhamaka Shopping.com including the opening of a bank account.

India logged 29 lakh cyber incidents in 2025, up 85% in two years

India recorded 29.44 lakh cyber security incidents in 2025, an 85 per cent increase from 2023, the government told the Lok Sabha. CERT-In has empanelled 237 security auditing organisations and trained over 11 lakh participants through awareness programmes.
