Bangladesh: BSCL and Spice TV sign broadcast agreement

The agreement was signed on behalf of BSCL by Md. Shafiqul Islam, Managing Director (Additional Responsibilities), on behalf of BSCL and Spice TV by Mr. Mohammad Hasan, CEO, Spice TV.

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) and Spice Television Limited () have signed a commercial agreement for broadcasting services of Satellite-1. The agreement was signed at an informal ceremony at BSCL’s head office in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Chairman of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited presided over the signing ceremony. Shahjahan Mahmud, Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Md. Afzal Hossain was present as the Chief Guest. Barrister Reza-e-Rakib, Director, BSCL was also present as a special guest.

The agreement was signed on behalf of BSCL by Md. Shafiqul Islam, Managing Director (Additional Responsibilities), on behalf of BSCL and Spice TV by Mr. Mohammad Hasan, CEO, Spice TV.

City group Director Biswajit Saha, Spice Television Limited Editor-in-Chief Tushar Abdullah, Head of Broadcast, Md. Tanzilur Rahman, (Sales and Marketing ), Bakhtiyar Ahmed, BSCL Assistant General Manager, Manager (Broadcast), Md. Senior officials of both organizations were present.

Incidentally, Spice TV has been added to the broadcasting service of Bangabandhu Satellite-1 as the 37th television channel. Even in the current situation, Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited has continued to provide all the services of Bangabandhu Satellite-1 uninterruptedly in compliance with all kinds of hygiene rules and special arrangements.
