Dhaka: To reduce the risk of infection, Digitalhaat has been launched nationally to conduct the distribution of meat after the sacrifice, starting from the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals across the country.
The market of digital sacrifice has been solid since the first day. As of Monday, 80% of the sacrificial animals sold at the market had been delivered, according to e-Cab, the organization that runs the market.
As of the time of writing this report on Tuesday, the report of sale of animals in the digital market says that till July 19, a total of 3 lakh 18 thousand 507 sacrificial animals have been sold from this market. Of these, 2 lakh 44 thousand 910 cows and buffaloes have been sold. 73 thousand 597 goats and sheep have been sold. In all, a total of 22 crore 6 crore 62 lakh 63 thousand 568 taka animals have been sold in this market.
On the other hand, a total of 1,429 animals were sold from the digital market on Monday alone. Of these, 264 animal slaughtering bookings have been made. 23 animals have been sold through escrow service.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim inaugurated the haat at the national level on July 13 by connecting 241 digital sacrifice hats. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak bought a black and white cow in Escrow Service at 3 minutes after the inauguration.
According to the haat authorities, 80 % of the animals sold at the digital haat have been delivered till yesterday. The rest will be delivered by today. The market is being run by Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association, A2I, Ekshop and E-Cab.
