Dhaka — Courts in Bangladesh in the coming days will turn into e-court. The trial will be conducted through video conference without appearing in court said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in his national budget speech for the fiscal year 2021-22 in Parliament.
The current status of the case pending in the lower court, date of hearing, results, and the full verdict will be published regularly on the website, he stated.
In his proposed budget speech in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, chaired by Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, the finance minister said initiatives have been taken to digitize the overall justice system of the country through necessary infrastructural development related to information technology to speed up the judicial process.
“To that end, the country's overall justice system will be digitized under the e-Judiciary project.”
He further said: “that all the activities of the lower courts including the Supreme Court would be brought under automation and network. The current status of the case pending in the lower court, date of hearing, results and the full verdict will be published regularly on the website.”
If these initiatives are implemented, the candidates will soon be able to enjoy the benefits.
