Bangladesh ICT department organises training for mobile games and app development

A total of 100 batches will be imparted in 8 sections of the country through a free course of game development training

Dhaka — The enrollment in a 200-hour completely free course on game development has started under the ‘ Games and Applications Skills Development Project‘ by the Information and Communication Technology Department of Bangladesh to create skilled manpower for the growing billion-dollar gaming industry around the world.

A total of 100 batches will be imparted training in 8 sections of the country through a free course of game development training.

During the training, students will have the opportunity to learn about concept art, 3D modelling, animation production, pipeline, and game development pipeline. Undergraduate / Diploma / Art / Multimedia in Computer Science or second-year students studying in similar subjects can apply for the training.

Interested students must apply by visiting the website gameapptraining.com by 25 May 2021.

The concerned government department is hoping to start this training from next June as the situation in Corona is improving.

There is no alternative to skilled manpower in information technology to build a digital Bangladesh. The present government has taken various training programs and initiatives to develop the youth of the country as skilled manpower.

Under this project, it will be possible to create skilled manpower for the game industry by providing completely free training and local and foreign organizations will work with the government for the of the trained.

Bangladesh’s leading game development studio Shadow White Animators Limited and another of the country’s leading software and training providers Mars Solutions Limited are working together as government partners in implementing the project in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chittagong divisions.

Various reports indicate that the global market value of in 2020 was $174.9 billion and it is growing at a rate of 19.6% per year. In order to build a strong position in this advancing industry, the youth of Bangladesh need to be trained efficiently. ‘

Bangladesh has already established a strong position in the world in the software industry. If we can develop ourselves efficiently, this country will be able to reach a strong position in the gaming industry as well.

This free game development course under the ‘Skills Development Project in Mobile Games and Applications’ under the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Government of Bangladesh will play a helpful role in .
