GCET 2018 notification released at dtegoa.gov.in; Goa Common Entrance Test to be held from May 8, 2018

The admission into B.E. & B.Pharm courses in the state of Goa for the academic year 2018-19 will be carried out on basis of GCET-2018,(Goa Common Entrance Test), said a notification from Department of Technical Education, Government of Goa.

The admission into B.E. & B.Pharm courses in the state of Goa for the academic year 2018-19 will be carried out on the basis of ,(Goa Common Entrance Test), said a notification from Department of Technical Education, Government of Goa. The department also informed that entrance examination will be conducted across the state in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and , based on Class 12th Science syllabus. The GCET 2018 will begin on May 8, 2018 and ends on May 9, 2018. The first paper is Physics for which exam will be held on May 8 between 10 am to 12 noon. The Chemistry paper will be conducted on the second shift on the same day between 2 pm to 4 pm. The paper for mathematics will be held on May 9 between 10 am to 12 pm.

GCET 2018 Schedule

  • Physics: Tuesday, 08.05.18 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon
  • Chemistry: Tuesday, 08.05.18 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
  • Mathematics: Wednesday, 09.05.18 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon

In GCET 2018, each paper will consist of 75 questions of one mark each, to be answered in two hours, with no negative marking. Admissions to B.Arch. course will be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam (Std. XIIth /HSSC.)

After Supreme directed all the state to adopt exam. In Goa also, the admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Allied Health Sciences (Para Medical) & B.Sc. in Nursing Courses will be done based on NEET (National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) – 2018 to be conducted by CBSE.
