Honda has launched the CB125 Hornet in India, entering the crowded 125cc motorcycle segment where the Hero Xtreme 125R currently leads. Bookings for the new bike opened on August 1, 2025, with pricing expected to be revealed soon.
The CB125 Hornet is available in four vibrant colour combinations, including mixes of blue, yellow, black, and red shades, targeting younger riders looking for a sporty street bike.
Under the hood, it features a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike produces 11 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, with a claimed 0-60 km/h acceleration time of 5.4 seconds, making it one of the quicker models in this class.
Styling-wise, the CB125 Hornet adopts an aggressive look highlighted by a twin-LED headlamp setup with LED daytime running lights and high-mounted indicators. The muscular fuel tank and sharp body panels add to its sporty appeal.
On the tech front, the bike sports a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync app, enabling navigation, call and message alerts, and music control. A USB Type-C charging port is also included for device convenience. Safety features include an engine kill switch and a side-stand sensor with an engine inhibitor.
The suspension setup stands out with golden upside-down front forks—a first in this segment—and a 5-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking is managed by a 240mm petal disc upfront and a 130mm drum brake at the rear, backed by a single-channel ABS system for added safety. The bike rides on wide tubeless tyres (80/100-17 front, 110/80-17 rear), designed to provide grip and stability on varied road conditions.
With its bold design, performance credentials, and modern features, the CB125 Hornet aims to attract young riders and daily commuters looking for a stylish and capable 125cc motorcycle. As the segment heats up, the bike’s upcoming pricing will be a key factor in how it competes against established rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R
