MWC Barcelona—Wipro Limited has announced a collaboration with Nokia to introduce a joint private wireless solution aimed at aiding enterprises in their digital transformation efforts. This solution is designed to target businesses with a secure 5G private wireless network, integrated with their operational infrastructure, enhancing reliability, mobility, connectivity speed, and providing real-time access to business insights, said a statement.
Nokia will contribute its Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) and Modular Private Wireless (MPW) solutions, which include both hardware and software. Wipro will bring its 5G Def-i with Industry DOT and OTNxt platforms to the table, offering strategic guidance and industry insights for effective integration.
The partnership is set to offer enterprises a dedicated wireless network, allowing them to create a private environment to better manage performance and mitigate security risks. The partnership is targeted at the manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and sports entertainment sectors through advanced AI-driven automation.
